“How can I help?”

We get this question a lot. here are three concrete things you can do today to help bridge the civil justice gap and make access to justice a reality for all South Carolinians.

Educate.

One of the most impactful things you can do to help bridge the justice gap is to tell someone about the issues who didn’t know about them before. Send them our Justice Gap Report or Civil Legal Needs Assessment. Start a discussion with your community groups. Talk to your local leaders about the need for civil legal aid.

Volunteer.

Are you an attorney practicing in South Carolina? There is someone who needs your help. It’s easier than ever to choose a case that fits your availability, and a host of resources to help you along the way. Wherever you live, whatever your practice area - there’s something for you.

Donate.

South Carolina Access to Justice is funded completely by grants, and by donations from engaged citizens like you. Any donation - however small - can help us grow and create programs that will help make equal access to justice a reality for every citizen of South Carolina.

Feel free to download and share a copy of this flyer with anyone you know who might be interested in helping, too.

“Wherever you turn, you can find someone who needs you. Even if it is a little thing, do something for which there is no pay but the privilege of doing it. Remember, you don’t live in the world all of your own.”

— Albert Schweitzer
